Creation of new employment and training facilities
- to deliver skilled training for the Community in a range new fields
- to convert the underutilised existing building into a productive facility
- to establish a self-funding venture for new retail services to the Community outcomes
- Immediately the facility has the potential for up to 16 permanent employment positions in baking, retail & beauty services as well as establishing the foundation as a training facility long into the future.
- The Building Team will gain valuable experience in constructing a commercial fitout.
- The Community gains a new retail offer providing locally produced, fresh bakery goods and a new café as a social gathering space.
- Equipment, construction materials and specialist trade services will all be delivered within a capital budget of $250,000; combined with KASC labour. A highly efficient and economical manner to deliver a range of tangible outcomes.
