category: retail, branding, hospitality, unbuilt

project name: Darwin & Alice Springs International Airports

location: Darwin & Alice Springs Airports – Tender Submission

The operators of Darwin & Alice Springs Airports let a tender seeking worldwide expression of interest from companies to construct and operate all the food concessions in both locations.

Again Myriad was engaged to prepare the design concepts for the submission by HMS Host International. As is often the case, the time frame was a tight 13 days to design concepts for 10 individual concessions.

In this instance, the team developed three original brand concepts and design offers for a mix of familiar international QSR brands.

Each offer was developed with layout plans, fully render 3D images and theme collages to be included into a substantial 130 page bid document. Ultimately the bids are assessed over a number of criteria with the commercial terms being a significant aspect of the selection process; regrettably Host did not get over the line.
