project name: Darwin & Alice Springs International Airports

location: Darwin & Alice Springs Airports, Australia

size: 1000sqm

The operators of the Darwin & Alice Springs Airports sought an expression of interest from companies to tender. This tender was for the construction and operation all food concessions in both airport locations.

Myriad was engaged to prepare the design concepts for the submission by HMS Host. As is often the case, the time frame was a tight 13 days to design concepts for 10 individual concessions.

In this instance, the team developed three original brand concepts and design offers for a mix of familiar international QSR brands.

Each offer was developed with layout plans, rendered images and theme collages to be included in a substantial 130 page bid document. Ultimately, the bids are assessed over a number of criteria with the commercial terms being a significant aspect; regrettably HMS Host did not get over the line.
