Floatation therapy is new to the Far North. The experience within the pod is an opportunity for complete relaxation, isolated from the sensations of the hectic world outside. Importantly though, this experience is optimally enveloped within an equally calming space. Our brief was to create a space equal to the experience within the pod. The result employs a gentle palette of finishes applied to curving walls throughout.
However, this was also a highly technical fitout, as the pods require a demanding operational specification. The fitout design required specialised solutions for the air conditioning, lighting, acoustic & hydraulic detailing to create an environment which enables the unhindered experience. The pods & rooms operate automatically creating a private & worry-free sanctuary.
Ultimately, the proof has been in the enthusiasm of repeat bookings – availability often requires planning ahead.
