Project → Big Asia Supermarket

Myriad and Anna worked together for several years searching for Big Asia Supermarket’s new home; before securing the undeveloped land on Mulgrave Road. Being passionate about delivering an even wider range of Asian food to Cairns, Big Asia needed the new home to work hard. The brief was to create a supermarket destination with a strong brand identity on the primary arterial road from the south. The apparently simple form of the building navigated several challenges with clearances around power lines; flood levels and a compact site. With a bold presence on the highway, the supermarket delivers on the expectations of the customers and owners alike.
