On a vacant Esplanade site, two brothers wanted to realise their ambition to each build a home for their large family. The solution required some intricate planning to accommodate parking; adequate living accommodation & the outdoor leisure areas that the spectacular Trinity Inlet views warrant. This is a sensitive location prominent of a key Cairns vista, so myriad took care to manage the form within the “envelope” of the Esplanade built landscape. Equally, green layering of planting softens the built form for the families & the local alike. Concurrent consultation with Council lead to a successful planning approval for the dual buildings.

Since 2013, Myriad has been working closely with the Hope Vale Aboriginal Shire Council building team to see the construction of over 30 new residences. The designs are always mindful of the user’s needs and ease of maintenance.
