Two Tigers, Helsinki – Expansion
our services: concept design, ff&e, compliance & approvals, construction documentation
location: Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Finland
size: 175sqm
completed: expected completion mid-2020
Since 2014, we have retained our relationship with Finland through several updates to this venue. A significant reconfiguration is scheduled for 2020. The original kitchen is retained, whilst a completely new dining area & counter was designed. Evolving from the original concept, a new fitout design was developed that retains the distinct brand recognition, whilst enhancing the customer experience.
Airports are inherently hectic, so we typically seek to create sanctuaries of calm for the passengers to dine & relax. The counter still “heroes” the sushi master at his work & supports the quick service needs of those in a hurry. A completely new dining area has a comfort of scale with the signature dark timber beams defining the space, without the need for a full ceiling. The key branding elements remain as a point of familiarity for the regular customers.
